Analysing Teaser Trailers - 'Gladiator II'

The teaser for 'Gladiator II' is only 40 seconds long. However, it packs a huge amount into that short period of time. 

We can see that the film is made by Paramount Pictures (through the ident) and that it is obvious that it must have had a huge budget. The setting is ancient Rome and there are a large numbers of actors. We see large war ships, action scenes and the Colosseum filled with gladiators riding on big animals ready to fight. The teaser introduces the main characters and we learn that the main character refuses to be manipulated and says behind bars he wants his vengeance. The audience will want to learn more, who is he fighting against? How will that be resolved?

There is exciting non-diegetic music throughout the teaser and we learn it is flagged to be released on 22 November.

Overall I thought that it gives a good indication as to what the film will be about, noting the action sequences and likely big budget elements, without giving too much narrative information away.
