The first film I am going to look at that have different trailers is 'Nosferatu'.

- There is eerie music. At the outset, it is contrapuntal, childlike, contrary to the horror that is about to unfold in the film
- There are a variety of scenes from the film, all cut, in quick succession, showing different aspects of the film, giving a glimpse of what the plot it about
- Genre is established through iconography and music
- The editing is fast-paced overlayed with dramatic music
- Many of the characters are separately introduced
- We learn a lot of information about the plot
- Fades are used as editing transitions
- The name of the writer and director is displayed on title cards
- The name of the film is displayed on a title card
- It is flagged to show at Christmas (release date)
- There is a tagline
- The costumes are gothic following horror conventions

- Some of the plot is revealed, though it mostly focuses on building suspense through the characters repeating the same phrase "HE IS COMING"
